'Day of Duos' would be the most appropriate nickname for the T-Mobile Presents: AMF ArenA Saturday. With The Chainsmokers, Showtek, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Axwell & Ingrosso and W&W on the line-up, double trouble was the motto.
But it was Ferreck Dawn who welcomed the first visitors into the Amsterdam ArenA, after whom the talented Jay Hardway took over. The crowd went crazy when they heard the first tunes of the AMF anthem the young DJ produced.
After these two, the crowd was ready for Dutch devil Don Diablo. ‘The Don’ made the crowd go mental to conclude an epic first part of the day.
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano brought their sunny vibes to cold Holland in the afternoon, with W&W continuing the love. As the night fell, the crowd gathered closer and closer to the stage, dancing from climax to climax. And they got what they wanted when The Chainsmokers made their debut in the ArenA and showed everyone why they’re one of the coolest acts in the world right now. They even made it snow!
After that, Showtek showed why they’re comfortable in Amsterdam, and they were the first to bring violins to the stage. The first? Yeah, because Guetta saw their violin, and decided to go full out by bringing an entire orchestra of strings when he took the stage. The crowd was stunned into silence; a goosebump moment for everyone.
To finish off an epic day, Axwell Λ Ingrosso found the time to perform in the ArenA before heading to their own party in the next door Heineken Music Hall. And if you can trust anyone with the final slot of a great day, it’s Hardwell. At 12 o’clock everyone looked into each other’s eyes and couldn’t believe the day was already over. With eyes full of twinkles, the crowd wandered into the night. To bed, or to another party…
