WHAT DATA DO WE HAVE ABOUT YOU AND WHERE DO WE GET IT FROM?
When we collect your personal information, we store it in our customer databases, such as our ticketing platforms to manage your access to the event, our payment platforms to process your orders, our customer service platforms to manage all your questions, and our marketing system to communicate with you, depending on your choices.
Given the global nature of our business, some of the products and services we offer may differ and may not be available in the market where you have an account.
- When you create an account and purchase from us. When you create an account and purchase a product from us (such as VIP experiences or merchandise), we collect your contact and billing information directly from you. When you register for a presale, we collect your contact information, such as your name, street address, zip code, email, phone number, and credit card number.
- When you purchase tickets for our events. When you purchase tickets for one of our events, or an event for which we are a co-promoter, or have a ticket transferred to you by a friend, we receive your information from ticket agents or e-commerce platforms used to sell tickets for our promoted and co-promoted events, or the venues we rent to host the event. This includes your name, contact details, and information about the ticket purchase, such as the number of tickets purchased and seat number(s).
- If you attend one of our events. If you attend one of our events, we collect your data via our free Wi-Fi (if you register for it) and, if available, via cash payment wristbands that can be used to access events and make on-site purchases during the event.
- Photos of fans and CCTV. If you attend an event at a venue or a festival, we collect your image and likeness via CCTV cameras for, among other things, the safety and security of our fans. We may also collect your image and likeness through video and/or photo cameras. We use these images for our marketing or social media posts.
- When you use our websites and apps. When you use our websites or apps, we may use tracking tools such as browser cookies, web beacons, and technologies such as GPS and WiFi to passively collect data about you. This includes, for example, the browser and type of device you are using, your IP address, your location, the website you came from, whether or not you have used our website/app, or the website you visit when you leave our website. For more information about how we collect this data, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
- On-site security during an event. If you attend one of the shows or events we organize, we may process your personal data in order to enforce adequate access control and to handle any experiences or incidents that may occur. As part of our security policy and procedures, we process personal information in the event of incidents affecting the well-being of visitors.
- When you request accessible tickets. If you have accessibility requirements, we want to ensure you have the best experience when attending events. To do this, we need to collect or verify the details of your requirements.

- When you contact our fan experience and customer service teams. If you contact our customer service team with a question or provide us with feedback, we will record this interaction for evidence purposes and to provide support in relation to your query.
- When you use social media and online public forums. When you use a social media feature within our website or apps, and you post on social media platforms, or post in any other public space or on any of our websites. The social media site may provide us with certain information about you, such as your username, email address, or any interests.
- Suppliers of geodemographic data. We work with suppliers such as advertising and marketing partners who collect geodemographic information, such as age, gender, or information about events you like or products you buy. This allows us to better tailor our services to you. If you would prefer us not to do this, please refer to the “Your choices and rights” section below.
- Health and safety purposes. To protect you and other visitors, we may collect information from ticket purchasers and visitors for the purpose of contact tracing in connection with infectious diseases, to the extent permitted by applicable law. This information may include names, contact details, seating locations, and times of entry and exit.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR DATA & WHY?
In this section, we explain how we use your data and the legal basis on which we base this use.
To perform our contract with you
When you make purchases. We use your data when you enter into a contract with us (for example, to purchase VIP experiences or merchandise) so that we can:
- process your order;
- accept your payment;
- send you customer service emails, including order confirmations and event-related emails;
- provide you with customer service; and
- register you for event presales.
Event partner(s). We share your information with event partner(s) who provide services for the event, such as co-organizers, ticketing agents, or venues, to enable them to organize the event on our behalf, assign seats, notify you if there has been a change related to the event, or provide important event information.
Contests, competitions, and referrals. We may use your information to confirm your registration for an event or contest (giveaway). You may provide us with your friend’s details, for example through our referral service to tell a friend about our website or to purchase a gift card. We will only use your friend’s information to provide the services you have requested. Your friend can contact us to ask us to delete their information.
For our legitimate business interests
Marketing. In accordance with what is stated below and where permitted by local law, to contact you with information or offers regarding upcoming events, products, or services (applicable to markets that respond on a lawful basis) – this may be via email, push and internet notifications, SMS, or on social media platforms. You can change your marketing preferences at any time; see the “Your choices and rights” section below.
Advertisements and cookies. In accordance with what is stated below and where permitted by local law, to deliver tailored advertising and marketing communications on our websites and apps (see our Cookie Policy for more information).
Market research and fan feedback. To conduct market research and analysis that helps us improve and tailor our products and services, or to contact you for satisfaction surveys, or to participate in user research (such as focus groups). We have an unsubscribe option for this type of mailing if you no longer wish to receive it.
Photos. If you attend our events, we sometimes take photos and videos and may post them on social media or use them in marketing campaigns. Our signage at the event will inform you of this. You can request to have your image removed at any time.
Personalization (if available). To ensure that our messages and websites are relevant to you, for example, if you have favorite artists and genres, or if you have purchased tickets, attend performances with friends, and any presales you may be interested in, we will inform you about similar events that we think you may be interested in. We may create a user profile with the information we know about you and how you use our services. If you disable personalization, you will not receive personalized recommendations and all newsletters you have subscribed to will be generic (but if you have requested to receive notifications about specific artists or venues, you will still receive these).
We will still carry out profiling activities where necessary to provide our services to you, for example for fraud screening and where you specifically request it, such as for a verified fan presale.
For our prevailing legitimate business interests
To prevent or detect unlawful behavior, to protect or enforce our legal rights, or as permitted by law. For example, ensuring that tickets end up in the hands of genuine fans. As such, we may use your data to prevent ticket reselling, misuse of our intellectual property (e.g., our brands or those of our event partner(s)), fraud, or other crimes.
Security during events. To protect our fans and ensure the safety of our activities and those of our event partner(s).
If you have given your consent
Marketing. Where local law permits, to contact you with information or offers relating to upcoming events, products, or services (applicable to markets that require consent) — this may be via email, push and web notifications, SMS, or social media platforms. You can change your marketing preferences at any time; see the “Your choices and rights” section below.
Location-based services. For example, our apps request permission to use your location for certain features, such as browsing events near your location, receiving push notifications about events, or viewing yourself on an event map.
Crowd management analysis. Some of our apps use crowd management software so that we can see how many people are at a particular stage or when the bars are busiest. This helps us to allocate our resources more efficiently. We activate this shortly before the festival or event and deactivate it shortly afterwards, so that we do not track devices when it is not necessary.
Accessibility. To process your health data to meet your accessibility requirements, if specifically required and explicit consent has been given.
Advertisements and cookies. Where local law permits, to deliver tailored advertising and marketing communications on our websites and apps (see our Cookie Policy for more information).
Commercial partners. We sometimes work with commercial partners, with whom we share data. These are external controllers, with whom we collaborate to provide additional value-added services, such as our travel packages, sponsors, or exclusive presale deals. In some cases, where sharing data is not necessary for us to perform the contract you have requested, we will ask for your consent before sharing data and inform you about what will be shared and with whom.
To protect your vital interests
Health and safety (e.g., in the event of a pandemic). If information is collected by us or our third-party partners, it will only be used to contact visitors or shared with relevant local government officials in accordance with applicable health and safety requirements. This information is regularly deleted.
